Check water seals for leaks, identify tool kit & spare wheel.

11. Road Test
Engine, Gears, Clutch, ABS, Handbrake, Steering, e.t.c.

Ferrari have officially announced that the F430 replacement will be the new 458 Italia…

Named 458, due to it’s 4.5 Litre V8 engine power unit, the engine will generate a massive 560 BHP.

The new engine will give it a top speed of 202 mph, and get it to 62 mph in less than 3.4 seconds, according to Ferrari.

The official unveiling of the Ferrari 458 Italia , will take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show on the 15th of September.

Reason for selling
Ask the owner why they are selling the car. In the current economy if could be due to financial difficuly. But make sure they give you a valid reason for selling.

Service history
Ask the owner about the cars service history. Does the vehicle have a fully documented service history?
You should also ask about any major mechanical work that was done, such as timing belts etc..

Was the car ever involved in a crash?
Find out if the car was ever invoved in a crash. Even if it was a minor crash or scrape, it is important that you know about it.

General condition
Ask about the generial condition of the car, both interior and exterior.

Previous Owners
Ask the seller about the number of previous owners on the car, and find out who they where if possible.
Also try to find out any other information about the cars history. For example if the car was ever stolen or used as a taxi.

Documentation
Make sure the owner has all the required documentaion, such as the Log Book, NCT Test results, Service History and any other required documenation.

Road Tax
Is the car taxed? and if so, for how long. This could save you some money if the tax is not up for a few months.

Outstanding Finance
Find out if there is any outstanding finance on the car. If there is, stay away.

Be careful that you choose a good price for your car, that will attract interest. Overpricing your car may lead to very few enquires, so it’s important that you get the price right. Make sure you add both your email address and multiple phone numbers so that potential buyers can contact you easily.

Photos

Add as many high quality photos of both the interior and exterior of your car as possible. The more photos you can add the better. Good quality of photos of a clean and tidy looking car, can often make the difference between a potential buyer contacting you or not. Car adverts with no photos rarely get many responses.

Scams
